About 70 people attended the seminar, the lowest count in over 15 years. Bill Dollarhide's four presentations were preceded by the KGS President giving moving "testimony" about one branch of her family tree and her efforts to not let her ancestors be forgotten. No one will ever forget her lecture.
KGS Regional Award Winner, Betty Sellers
Mrs Sellers, although living in Evansville, Indiana, has done a lot of work
for folks with Western Ky connections. She has given hundreds of hours to
researchers, and has published several books, and has a hand in numerous others.
Mrs Sellers was presented with a certificate for a Brick to go in
the walkway leading to the new Ky History Center, slated to opened in early
1999. Mrs Sellers will choose what will be inscribed on the Brick, and we'll
let you know what is, when we have it.
